Heckling Servers
Aug. 3rd, 2006 08:59 amI have gotten a lot better about heckling servers, but this morning the imp was at me. So when they were out of plain croissants, and the counter guy suggested a chocolate croissant (pain au chocolat, thank you very much it isn't crescent-shaped,) I said, "It's a little early for chocolate."
Then seeing the frilly apron he was wearing, I added, "It's also a little early for that apron."
"It's never too early for this apron!" he said. Then added. "Well, it might be a little early for you to see me wearing this apron."
It went on from there, and the people in line were all laughing, and I ended up settling for an almond croissant, which was at least crescent-shaped.
The chai is also very spicy this morning.
