Jan. 28th, 2011 06:55 amBTW, folks. I am shocked, Shocked, SHOCKED not to be hearing more about Egypt. Why is Tunisia making the news but what's coming out of Egypt (and apparently Yemen) more reserved?
Demographically, I believe the entire Middle East is poised for transformation, but what that will look like remains to be seen.
I keep telling myself that 1989 gives evidence of potential for bloodless revolution. But has anyone else bothered to think about what that might look like in a different context?
And I will be the first to acknowledge that these are things I know almost nothing about.
