1. Someone knocks on your door at 2 a.m., who do you want it to be?
A certain person on his way home from his shift who can't wait another moment to see me.
2. Your boss tells you he/she will give you a $20 raise if you'll do your job naked, do you stay and take the raise?
No. There are enough inappropriate power issues at my workplace without adding this one. Besides, if I could prove they'd asked, I could sue, which would be a lot more money.
4. Ever seen a ghost?
Nope. Once I got lost skiing and someone came to rescue me. She was a ranger, but after she dropped me off at the station she disappeared and none of the rangers worked with anyone who matched her description.
5. Happy with your body?
Most of the time.
6. A reason you would move to Iceland:
To sing with Bjork.
7. A place you've lived that you miss:
Lately I've been missing times more than places, but lately I've also been missing NYC.
8. A job you've had that you would never do again, no matter how much you were paid:
Nanny. I'm also thinking about never taking any job with the word "assistant" in the title. I've done my time.
9. A band/group you thought was cool when you were 13:
Living Colour
10. You have a nightmare, who's the first person you think to call?
Since it's the middle of the night and I'm alone, I will turn on the light, radio, and distract myself. Then when I'm ready to look at it again, I will write it somewhere to keep it from floating around and grabbing me when I next go to sleep.
11. Wanna have kids before you're 30?
Time's already run out on that one.
12. A memory from high school:
We used to leave campus for lunch at the java stop where we drank black coffee and had mini-baguettes with herb cheese.
15. Do you look more like your mom, or your dad?
I look more like my paternal grandmother.
16. Something you've always wanted to learn how to do:
Silkscreening
18. Where you'd like to be in 10 years:
Happier, partnered, involved in creative, fulfilling, and remunerative work. At the center of a supportive community.
19. Something you learned this year:
Cheese and cream of rice do not mix.
20. What do you want for your birthday?
A party.
22. Last item you bought yourself?
A chai on Tuesday.
23. Do you have an ornament hanging from your rearview mirror?
I used to have a rainbow, then a deer with a rainbow. Currently there's nothing.
24. What did you have for breakfast?
Haven't had it yet, but I'm guessing it will be cream of rice (sans fromage.)
28. What do you wish you were doing right now?
Preparing for a fun trip somewhere that is not work.
30. Last time you witnessed a fight?
I'm constantly seeing fights at bus stops. That and the unfortunate amounts of used condoms at bus stops make me suspicious of public transportation.
32. Name three places you would like to travel to:
1. I'd like to run around the Pacific Northwest for awhile.
2. My 2 months camping in National Parks in California trip.
3. Turkey
33. Do you know how to ice skate?
I love iceskating!
34. Name something you like that's out of the ordinary?
Weather that gives one an excuse to do nothing. It's so sunny in this state that one often feels like a lazy git if one isn't outside doing something.
36. Name a friend you have the most in common with?
I don't know anymore.
38. What color are your toenails? Bronze.
39. Last person you talked with on the phone? Brother
40. Do you own anything with a skull on it?
No, I think I'm kind of superstitious about this.
41. Traveled to Europe?
Just the UK
42. Name four people you would trust with your life?
I'd hope my family would stick up for me.
43. Last movie you watched?
Three episodes of Black Adder 3, which I picked up from the library. They are often funnier in memory than reality. Kind of like Friends.
44. Where were you when you had your first kiss?
At a church sponsered dance club. Two different people kissed me on the same night. It was my 15th birthday and my parents were splitting. Having a boyfriend (any boyfriend) was a good way to get out of the house.
45. Last board game you played?
Wedding themed pictionary at the work sponsered bridal shower. (Why would they pay for that crap and not a goodbye lunch for June?)
47. Ever had a black eye?
Yes, when I got beat up in junior high.
A certain person on his way home from his shift who can't wait another moment to see me.
