[he was talking about Lost the television show]
Me: Have they explained the black smoke, yet?
Him: No, it hasn't really been part of the plot, lately.
Me: I know what it is! It must be their diesel powered invisibility suits!
Which led to all sorts of silliness involving that idea, including the absurdity of having an invisibility suit one can hear and that gives off exhaust, not to mention whether or not the suits are pull-start, like a lawnmower.
