Okay, who recommended Kenneth Oppel's Airborn? I picked it up at the library based on an lj recommendation, and I wanted to thank whoever mentioned it, I enjoyed it immensely, and will have to go find the sequel shortly.

For those of you who haven't read this airship fantasy, you are in for a treat. It's airship, Victoriana light, with pirates. What's not to like?

I do believe it was me. I spent a considerable amount of LJ space a few weeks back pimping this book.

The sequel is even better.

Thank you! I look forward to the sequel. Is he working on anymore?

I haven't heard. I mean, the sequel just came out a few weeks ago, so it's early to hear about another book, but I'd imagine he has more planned. They're episodic and it'd be easy to write more, and they're popular enough that I'm sure he'd want to. He seems to have put a good amount of care into world-building and especially character-building, not to mention relationship-building, and I can't imagine he'd just abandon it.

Good to hear! I picked it up off the shelf at the library because it caught my eye; I was wondering whether it would be worth a read.
