Quick Change

One of my all time favorite movies is coming out on DVD. Quick Change is the infamous "Bill Murray dressed in a clown suit robbing a bank" film, where a successful bankrobber is thwarted on his attempts to get out of New York City. This is a hilarious, and very clever film, one of my favorites before I moved to New York, and even funnier now that I've lived there.
Also coming out on DVD is Kind Hearts and Coronets an Ealing Studios film about a man who is many relatives away from having a title. He decides to claim his "rightful place" by bumping off all the intervening relatives, all of whom are played with comedic fervor by Alec Guinness. The premis doesn't sound funny, but the film is both a delightful and oddly tasteful foray into dark comedy.
